Hunger Doesn't Take

Summer Vacation

In late August, CALL Primrose wrapped up our Kids’ Summer Lunch Program, through which extra lunch supplies were provided to feed more than 2,300 low-income children.  Many families rely on free lunches during the school year and struggle to fill this meal gap when classes recess for the summer. The relief and gratitude expressed by parents whose children benefited from this offering was overwhelming. CALL Primrose is grateful to be able to help fill this basic need for some of the roughly 10,000 kids in San Mateo County who are currently living in food insecure households*. We are thankful to so many in our community whose generosity and support enable us to make this happen each summer.

THANK YOU DONORS

Our First Donor Appreciation

Reception

This June we held our first Donor Appreciation reception to express gratitude to our top supporters. Donors were able to see our pantry and learn about our operation while enjoying light refreshments with volunteers and staff.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Backpackpalooza!

Many CALL Primrose families participated in BUMC’s annual ‘Backpackpalooza’ event in early August, enjoying an afternoon of food and festivities, with each child receiving a new backpack to start off the school year in style!

A RECORD SUMMER

Your Help is More Important than Ever

CALL Primrose provided groceries to more than 2,000 households during the month of July,  distributing over 9,000 bags of groceries. This represents an increase of 15% over the same time period last year, making this the busiest July on record for the organization. It is due to the support and generosity of our community, that we are able to continue to serve all who come to our doors.
